PARTIDO ALTERNATIVA POPULAR
SALUDOS A LA CONFERENCIA NACIONAL
DEL PARTIDO MUNDO OBRERO

Compañeros y compañeras
Partido Mundo Obrero / Workers World

Olmedo Beluche

Secretario General

Please accept fraternal revolutionary greetings from Panama from the members of the Popular Alternative Party on the occasion of your National Conference and the 50th anniversary of your founding.

The task that you have taken on in the United States of America, defending the causes of the working class and the nations of the world exploited by imperialism, is of the highest importance.

From this small Central American country we send our thanks and express our interest in continuing to coordinate with you the struggle for democracy and the restitution of the legitimate government of Manuel Zelaya in Honduras; the denunciation of the permanent violation of the most elemental human rights by the reactionary government of Alvaro Uribe in Colombia; to oppose U.S. military bases in the entire region; the struggle against war and plunder in the Middle East, Iraq and Afghanistan; and against the neoliberial economic policies that they are trying to use to place the entire cost of the capitalist economic crisis on the backs of the working class. And especially we emphasize the importance of denouncing the economic, social and political consequences of the bloodly U.S. invasion of Panama, which will be commemorated the next Dec. 20 exactly 20 years after it occurred. We must charge the U.S. government with the more than 500 deaths, 2,000 wounded and 5,000 imprisoned and for the substantial material losses caused by that invasion.

We repeat our best wishes for the success of your National Conference and our wish to coordinate common actions.

For the executive committee, Olmedo Beluche

Corriente roja

Angeles Maestro

Dear comrades

In the name of the Red Current we wish you the best success in your conference. More than ever communists of the entire world need all our intelligence, our organizational capacity and our enthusiasm to confront the barbarity that the greatest crisis in the history of capitalism is leaving in its wake.

Precisely when the night is darkest, consciousness of the disaster is growing. To the workers who each day recreate life with our hands, the idea appears ever more clear that socialism is the only reasonable option for the future.

Know comrades that for those who resist in the periphery of the empire and feel the difficulties of the daily struggle, we think of you, activists of Workers World Party, who work in the belly of the beast and provide a breath of fresh air and the consciousness that internationalism is the greatest priority of the peoples of the world. Long live the struggle of the working class!

Long live the international struggle of the peoples!

ANTI-IMPERIALIST CAMP

Dear comrades of WWP,

We wholeheartedly want to congratulate you upon your anniversary and convey our warmest greetings.

For at least one decade we have been closely fighting together against the war drive of the U.S. and its European allies. We do not believe that with Obama this will change. On the contrary, the economic crisis as well as the momentum towards a multi-polar world will push the global oligarchy to further wars. It is enough to mention Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan…

The problem of the last period was that the often powerful popular anti-imperialist struggles were not able to transcend a narrow culturalist frame. The outstanding Iraqi resistance was defeated because of exactly this incapacity to provide a broader prospective for unity also beyond national borders.

We see it as our task to commonly develop and strengthen those anti-imperialist tendencies which are able to build a global platform of liberation paving the way for a new collectivist project. We invite you to join hands in this endeavor.

With revolutionary greetings

Willi Langthaler

Socialist Unity Centre of India
CENTRAL COMMITTEE

October 22, 2009

Nihar Mukhrjee, General Secretary of SUCI sends the following message of solidarity on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of Foundation of the Workers World Party, November 14-15, 2009.

Solidarity Message from Socialist Unity Centre of India

Dear Comrades,

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the founding of Workers World Party, on my own behalf and on behalf of our Party, Socialist Unity Centre of India, I convey to you solidarity with your struggle. Your Conference is taking place at a time which presents challenges as well as opportunities in building up revolutionary struggles in the background of the most acute global crisis of capitalism and the danger of war.

The election of Barack Obama as the President has thrown up a new challenge before the working class movement in USA, which has to convince the people of USA that the imperialist character of the US state cannot be fundamentally changed through electoral processes. The working class of the United States will have to remain steadfast in its struggle against capitalist exploitation and oppression, against war-mongering policy of the state, and against racial discrimination, with the ultimate objective of overthrowing the capitalist state machinery and establishing in its place a socialist state. It is all the more necessary now to educate the people that in a capitalist system today the electoral process is by and large controlled and manipulated by the capitalist-monopolist class, with the help of a vicious combination of money, muscle power and media, bringing to the seat of power whosoever they choose as their trusted political manager. The two-party system is a ploy of the capitalist class to dupe the people and bring in administrative fascism under the cloak of democracy. It is the task of revolutionaries to make people conscious of this danger with a view to freeing them from the still-existing illusion of parliamentary system and elections.

The Obama administration is continuing the policy of aggression and occupation in Afghanistan and is expanding its military presence in Pakistan, and in spite of the talk about reduction of troops in Iraq, there is no change in its aim of establishing and retaining its control in the Middle East. Pentagon’s support to the coup in Honduras ousting the elected President is the other face of US imperialism. To build up a vibrant opposition to the US imperialist policies and maneuvers is another challenging task before the working class movements in USA.

Today, after the overthrow of socialism in Soviet Russia and eastern European states, while the entire capitalist world is trumpeting the final triumph of capitalism and is proclaiming that socialism is dead and buried, that Marxism is a failed ideology, it is the bounden duty of all working class parties to expose these utterances as simply rubbish and slanderous, to convincingly demonstrate to the people how correct and infallible were Marx’s scientific analyses and conclusions about the crisis of capitalism, to carry the teachings of Marxism-Leninism to the people and to educate them about the real character of the present global crisis and the way-out based on the tenets of Marxism-Leninism.

We are sure that all these burning issues will be thoroughly discussed in your Conference and the correct political line formulated. The Workers World Party has always followed a policy of uncompromising anti-imperialism. We hope that while strengthening the anti-imperialist struggle in USA you will work for a coordination of the global struggle against imperialism and through this process deepen the mutual understanding of the communist and workers’ parties of the different countries.

We express our deepest appreciation of and full solidarity with the arduous struggle of the Workers World for holding aloft the banner of Marxism-Leninism against all odds in a land held as the fortress of capitalism-imperialism, in a state which acts as the demonic military-machine for perpetrating the rule of capital over the world. We sincerely wish all success to its 50th Anniversary Conference. We firmly believe that your deliberations will significantly contribute to the international working class movement and your future struggle will provide unending inspiration to the freedom- and peace-loving people of the whole world.

Best wishes and internatinal solidarity to the Workers World Party National Conference in N.Y. in November from U.S. Citizens Against War in Florence, Italy. PARTIDO COMUNISTA DE VENEZUELA

A Workers' World Party

Apreciados/as camaradas

CAROLUS WIMMER
Secretario de Relaciones Internacionales

Communist Party of Venezuela
Workers World Party

Comrades,

In the name of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Venezuela, we greet you and wish you success for the tasks of the conference that marks the 50th anniversary of your party. We consider your discussion and its conclusions of the highest importance for our struggle in Latin America.

At this very moment we see once again the aggression of imperialism with the construction of military bases in our region, the extension of the Fourth Fleet and policies that show that the U.S. government aims to once again covert Latin America into its back yard. It is, however, not only the regional events that interest us, but also those that affect all of humanity.

It is definitely only socialism that can give an adequate response to the needs and aspirations of the working class and its male and female workers in a capitalist world that has entered decadence but despite this has not lost its dangerous destructive potential.

In this sense the struggle of Workers World Party will bring reflections and decisions to our common struggle, which as we understand it should be under the theme of proletarian internationalism and the construction of socialism.

We send you our comradely greetings,

Carolus Winner

Pôle de Renaissance Communiste en France

Chers camarades

Pole of Communist Renaissance in France

Dear Comrades

The economic crises in the world and particularly in the United States is generating poverty, misery and unemployment. The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are growing ever more deadly and the imperialists threaten to extend them to Iran. In Europe, the European Union has launched an unprecedented campaign to criminalize communism by comparing it with fascism, putting on the same level the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany.

But the people’s capacity to respond, as can be seen from what is currently happening in Latin America, the growing coordination of communists and revolutionaries in Europe and in the world, the large-scale workers’ and peoples’ struggles, international solidarity with the Cuban Revolution and with the Five anti-terrorists imprisoned in the USA—are all proof of the workers’ and peoples’ capacity of resistance when confronted with the bourgeoisie.

Globally, sharp international conflicts stand out even if the imperialist masters have decided to redo the façade in substituting Obama for Bush without of course modifying the basis of their policies. But the level of struggle of communists and progressives has begun to change. We no longer fight on with our backs to the wall confronting triumphant imperialism. The example of the oppressed people of Latin America who have succeeded in breaking their chains are showing us the way.

We wish you great success with your conference.

Long live the solidarity of revolutionaries of France and the United States!

Long live proletarian internationalism!

Queridos/as compañeros/as y camaradas:

Dear comrades

In my role as coordinator of the Spanish Campaign against the Occupation and for the Sovereignty of Iraq (CEOSI) I would like to convey the fraternal greeting of the organizations and groups in the Spanish State that support our platform of solidarity with the people and the resistance of Iraq. From Catalonia to Andalusia, from Euskal Herria (Basque Country) to the Valencian Country, from Asturias and Madrid, it is for all of us a sincere satisfaction to be able to convey this message of recognition and respect for your celebration of the 50th Anniversary the founding of your party.

For more than a decade we have shared with you, friends and comrades of the Workers World Party, experiences of internationalist solidarity, in particular in relation to the struggles of resistance and liberation in the Middle East. During this long period of imperialist wars and genocidal embargoes, we have always found your organization to possess a radical coherence and a commitment that, inspired by socialism and internationalism, you have made compatible with the will to converge with and impel the movement against the war, the movement for the civil rights, the rights of the workers, etc. We have learned from you, dear comrades, that these principles must be expressed with clarity and without hesitations, and that the way to advance them is to join together in struggle, to convince and to summon to action the progressive social majority of our countries.

You have for this reason, besides our sincere affection, our recognition and respect: you are example in Europe, where we have learned that the ideological strength, the defense of the principles of the radical democracy, the anti-sectarian spirit and the militant perseverance comes from the United States, from organizations like Workers World Party. We wish all the success you in your National Conference, to continue far beyond this first half century of existence, and we request that you inform us of your programmatic positions and approved objectives.

An affectionate greeting, and in the name of all the groups that are part of our organization.

In solidarity

Friends in the struggle, receive a great Bolivarian, revolutionary and combative embrace from the South. Day by day we are waging the struggle for the liberation of our sister nations, from the South to the North. There is only one homeland, because for revolutionaries there are no borders.

Your admirable constant struggle inside the belly of the beast, in that empire that grows weaker every day because the winds of socialism are blowing ever so stronger, inspires the peoples of the world. We the workers are therefore the ones called upon to move the world towards social justice, solidarity, humanitarianism, fraternity, cooperation, mutual assistance and of course love, which is the major force that moves us revolutionaries, in every part of the world. However difficult the road, for a revolutionary full of love for humanity, nothing is too difficult and we can carry out all that is proposed.

Do not give in, from the South we are more united every day in order to be invincible. There will be a time when history will liberate us because justice always triumphs, the truth always triumphs. Our commander President Hugo Chavez has instilled in us great socialist values, making international solidarity the spearhead of our Revolution. Therefore, people of the United States, count on the people of Simon Bolivar. Homeland, Socialism or Death

At the time when I opened your letter I was in the midst of a Refresher Course in Politics in Havana, Cuba, and I was overjoyed to learn that such an important activity is taking place in a country where convulsions are the daily routine, because as all we know the world-wide crisis strikes the North American people hard as well as thousand and thousands of compatriots and brothers worldwide who in search of a better life for their families and their peoples have had to migrate to that country.

It is not exceedingly cheerful to be analyzing and discussing the problems afflict our peoples and above all those because of the cruel system they live under must at the present time pay the disastrous consequences that can be seen in all humanity. I wish that the best debates take you toward the search for a better road map not only for yourselves but for everyone.

PARTIDO COMUNISTA PORTUGUÊS
Comité Central
To the National Conference of the Workers' World Party (USA)

Dear Comrades,

The Portuguese Communists greet the delegates and activists of the Workers' World Party, on the occasion of your National Conference of 2009, which also marks your Party's 50th anniversary.

Your Party's Conference is being held at a time in which the world crisis of capitalism is turning into an enormous social crisis, in the USA and througout the world. Imperialism, which felt strengthened by the new world balance of forces that emerged from the defeats of socialism of 20 years ago, in Eastern Europe, launched a world-wide offensive to impose its hegemony and its class domination upon the whole planet.

In a short time span, the true nature of today's capitalist system became clear: wars and aggressions throughout the world, and an extremely violent offensive to step up the exploitation of working people and to take back those concessions that many decades of struggle had forced it to make.

Big business throughout the world will try to use the crisis as a pretext to force more concessions and retreats upon the workers. Resistance and struggle is the fundamental weapon that the workers and peoples have, to stop this world-wide imperialist offensive. The struggle of the US workers, which is being waged at the very heart of the biggest imperialist power of our days, is of enormous importance for the peoples of all parts of the planet. So too is the struggle of peoples who, like the Portuguese people, have to confront another big imperialist pole in the making: the European Union.

We wish you success in your battles in defence of your workers rights, against US imperialism's policies of exploitation and war throughout the world, and for a different world, without exploitation and oppression: socialism.

Long live the struggle of the workers and peoples of the world!

DANISH COMMUNIST PARTY

Message to the National Conference of the Workers World Party

Copenhagen, November 13th 2009

Dear comrades,

The Danish Communist Party salutes the National Conference of the Workers World Party, celebrated on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Party and wishes you full success in the discussion of the important topics on the agenda. We are confident that your Party which we admire for its consequent anti-imperialist positions will advance further in the struggle against imperialism and capitalism on the road towards socialism.

Capitalism, as a system, has failed completely from the point of view of the big majority. After several centuries of development of the productive forces, these forces have increasingly become destructive and have, as a result, created an unsustainable situation for the working class and people and brought the very humanity on the brink of disaster.

The present economic crisis has cyclic features but is mainly of a structural and systemic character and is mixed up with a number of other crises creating a mega crisis of a civilizational type. This crisis can only be solved within the framework of an alternative social system, socialism, based upon the most advanced ideas and achieved through the struggle of the working class and its allies.

This is the vision of our Party in its present struggle. We have just published an Ecological Program which will be sent out in English in a few days based upon the idea of combining the social and ecological struggle for a better world. And in this moment, we are preparing a series of initiatives related to the UN Summit on Climate Changes which will take place in Copenhagen in December this year. If any of your comrades are coming to Copenhagen, they are more than welcome and invited to participate in the activities, among them an Internationalist Mass Rally with the participation of the president of the ALBA countries.

Long live international solidarity!

Black Workers League Solidarity Statement to the Workers World Party’s 50th Year Anniversary Conference.

Comrades and friends of the Workers World Party (WWP), the Black Workers League (BWL) wishes you much success in your 50th Year Anniversary Conference, and its important role in helping to make a critical assessment of the current period of capitalist economic crisis as a contribution to advancing the revolutionary class struggle. The work of the WWP continues to be very important in helping to connect local struggles of the working class and the oppressed, in all of its expressions, to national and international demands and an anti-imperialist direction. The BWL values the WWP as a key ally in our efforts to bring forward the revolutionary fervor of the working class in the US South, rooted in the struggles against national and women’s oppression and for African American self-determination and workers power, as a contribution to the struggle against capitalism, imperialism and for revolutionary transformation. We look forward to an ongoing comradely and revolutionary struggle relationship.

Dear comrades of WWP

We wish you a happy commemoration of the 50 years of arduous, heroic and continuous struggle for the revolution, for the rights of all the people of the USA, especially of the working class and those most underprivileged who your party has come to represent. Confronting the enemy in the center of the Empire, in the belly of those who are the most brutal and backward in the world, you have earned it.

We wish you also a fruitful debate over the road to map out as the economic crisis and the wars crash down on the heads of the peoples. Those who have, as you have, committed to the advancement and well-being of humanity are those who can make the greatest contributions to stop this plot of the monopolies.

In our region, Latin America, that governments should automatically line up with the directives from Washington is already a thing of the past. But we have much to do, we have challenges like interfering with intervention exemplified by the installation of the seven U.S. bases in Colombia, and by the criminal coup d’etat in Honduras against the government of Manuel Zelaya, which are no small things and which are urgent for us. We confront this crisis, however, as we are making bid steps forward. It is a situation in which countries like Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela, Bolivia, Ecuador, Uruguay, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Paraguay and other have elected national and popular governments. Wherever the union of the workers, the peoples and their governments allowed us to break up the Free Trade Agreement of the Americas (FTAA), it has opened up the horizon for the integration and liberation of the continent.

The struggles of the Brazilian workers and that of the U.S. workers are common struggles. The policies of the Federal Reserve Bank, of the U.S. private speculative centers, are aimed at inundating our countries with dollars without value with the objective of making the rest of the world pay the cost of its crisis, that is to get out of it by transferring to the U.S. corporations the enormous wealth of our countries. None of these resources is aimed at improving in the slightest the conditions of life of the U.S. workers, every day hit harder by unemployment, the lack of housing, health insurance, education, etc.

In that way, in the countries invaded by these dollars that, as in the case of Brazil, have higher interest rates, it provokes the devaluation of the local currencies, increasing the costs of exports, cheapening imports and making all possible pressure to break up the industry of our countries in favor of the obsolete U.S. industry. The strengthening of our internal market, with the state financing those genuine national enterprises, state and privately owned, the just regional integration, taking into account the peculiarities of each of our countries is the road that we are following in South America. And on this parth, our anti-imperialist unity is of incalculable value.

The U.S. working class and the revolutionaries led by the WWP have in the organized Brazilian workers, in its most class-conscious sector, the most firm allies in its struggle.

The conclusions of your National Conference will be a valuable contribution for all of us.

A fraternal embrace, in struggle,

Maria Pimentel

GREETINGS FROM FIRE THIS TIME MOVEMENT FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE IN CANADA

To the National Conference of Workers World Party November 14-15 2009 and On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Workers World Party

First before everything else, please accept our highest fraternal and revolutionary greetings to the 50th anniversary of the formation of Workers World Party and 50 years of continual struggle for revolutionary change and socialism.

Your important national conference is being held at a critical time of the 21st century. People around the world in general, and working class and poor people particularly, are facing a new vicious imperialist offensive that we call the new era of war and occupation. This critical time is marked especially with the United States and world wide bankruptcy of the capitalist and imperialist order. The working class and its allies all around the world have been targeted by destructive imperialist forces with mass impoverishment as well as mass killings with the aim of deteriorating their living conditions and destroying their human dignity.

We are certain that your national conference will be an important step on the road to unity of all working class fighters in the United States and beyond. We must work towards building a revolutionary movement with a mass communist party to facilitate this process. Today, decades after the defeat of the Russian Revolution and Bolshevik leadership, the world historical political crisis generally distinctively remains the crisis of the leadership of the working class. To overcome the human crisis that we face today, we need more revolutionary communist leadership to take up the example of Cuba’s revolutionary leadership. Masses of the world can no longer accept living in this misery created by capitalism and imperialism.

We need to recognize our allies, to bring them with us in unity in action for change, unity in defending ourselves. We need unity regardless of our differences here and there. We need unity in discussion and in debate in order to come up with the best possible strategy and tactics to win. Lenin once said, Marxism is a revolutionary theory, and therefore fundamentally polemical. In our opinion this conference indeed is a very valuable opportunity to pursue this path of achieving unity in method and unity in action. We truly congratulate you for this important initiative.

We wish you the greatest revolutionary success in achieving all the goals of your important national conference. We are confident that your party and its members, supporters and of course all participants in this conference will come out stronger than ever from all presentations and discussions to confront the ever-increasing capitalist and imperialist crisis.

Workers of the world unite!
We will win the battle of ideas!
Long live Workers World Party!
Long live the Cuban revolution!
Long live working class internationalism!

Yours in Struggle,
Fire This Time Movement for Social Justice

Message of Solidarity

National Conference

Workers' World Party

The National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) extends its warmest greetings of solidarity to the Workers’ World Party on the occasion of its national conference on 14-15 November 2009 as part of its 50th founding anniversary celebration.

Your national conference is both timely and relevant for it comes at a time when the world capitalist system headed by US imperialsim is undergoing a severe economic crisis and the competition among the imperialist powers for resources and spheres of influence is increasing.

It is correct for the WWP to take this opportunity to deepen its assessment of its history of waging class struggle in the US and to chart its course forward towards socialism. It is good that the WWP seeks to engage and mobilize those who have been most actively engaged in the day-to-day struggle for discussion, debate and unity on urgent international and domestic issues.

We hope for the outstanding success of your national conference.

The NDFP and all revolutionary and progressive movements in the world are keenly watching comrades and progressive brothers and sisters in the United States on their courses of action and programs and strategies, in view of their strategic position inside the belly of the beast, so to speak, the number one imperialist power on earth.

Anti-imperialist forces all over the world are further inspired and encouraged by the political determination, ideological firmness and solidarity of their comrades, brothers and sisters in the United States, as they forge ahead in the anti-imperialist struggle and for socialism.

Indeed, the solidarity of all oppressed peoples and working class, will prove to be the more decisive and invincible force that would bring down imperialism and create a world free of oppression, exploitation, injustices, wars and hunger.

Long live the solidarity between the working class and peoples of all countries!

Partido Workers World/Mundo Obrero

Esteemed Comrade Berta Joubert-Ceci
Department of International Relations
Workers World Party/Mundo Obrero

From Colombian soil we would like to send a fraternal greeting to the delegates participating in the National Conference of Workers World Party/Mundo Obrero taking place in New York Nov. 14-15 of the current year and a big hug to each of the members of the party in the 50th anniversary celebration of its founding.

In its 50 years of struggle vindicating the role of the workers, underlining the historical responsibility of the working class as the motor force of social changes and struggling for the construction of a different world where the great majorities, impoverished and vilified by capitalism can find happiness and where humanity can be saved.

This important congress is unfolding during a critical moment for the future of humanity. A deep crisis has been generated by the masters of power but is carried on the shoulders of the dispossessed; the imperialist leadership carries out new invasions, reinforces its colonialist policies and make extreme efforts to cover with the blanket of impunity the immense damage caused to our peoples through war, the plunder of natural resources of the Third World countries, of the loss of labor, social and political rights and the new forms of slavery that its transnational corporations implement against their workers. Today the struggle is for life and dignity.

Many of us thought that in Latin America military coups had ended, but considering what the United States is doing in Honduras, it is telling us that they won’t allow us to advance in the construction of the Greater Nation of Bolivar, that was being firmly constructed through Latin American unity. It is urgent that the people of the Americas condemn the attacks of imperialism against the process that the peoples of the Venezuelan Bolivarian Republic, Ecuador, Nicaragua and in another way Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay are making. The imperialists’ Latin American policies continue as before, the transnational corporations and the international finance system are being reinforced and they cannot easily disguise their intention to subjugate our America and advance its neocolonialization. The installation of new military bases in Colombia and the disposition of international airports to receive troops complement the surrender of national territory by which the great corporations take possession of our lands and our people. The struggle is completed with the defense of national sovereignty and the self-determination of our peoples, but we shall succeed in winning peace and well being without exploitation, without misery, without hunger and without capitalism only through popular unity and the consolidation of the class struggle.

In Colombia we also struggle to secure a job, a roof over our heads, a dignified life; the people of the United States and of Colombia have common demands and similar dreams that are a powerful reason to continue struggling together against imperialist policies. Organization makes us strong, unity makes us great, the struggle will make us free.

That the Colombian government has failed to gain approval for the free trade agreement with the United Station, that the greatest militarization of our territory has been condemned are motives justifying our demands showing that a large sector of our people and its social and political organizations have taken up the struggle that move our people forward in the struggle for our independence and dignity. You all have been with us, dear comrades, in the first line of the battles. Thank you very much.

From our valleys and mountains we want very much that your conference is successful and that it comes to the best decisions on how to continue struggling against the empire, from there, from within its entrails. We commit ourselves to continue the struggle, in the resistance, in the construction of another Colombia, and go forward together with you.

NECIOS-HONDURAS

NECIOS-HONDURAS

Workers World comrades From the Necios Political Organization (Honduras) please receive a combative greeting in solidarity at the time of your annual conference.

From stuggling Honduras, whose childen have given us the task of making our voices heard against this de-facto (coup) regime, at the service of the country’s oligarchy, we are honored to send to you a greeting comrades, to you who have kept up a constant struggle and maintained a firm ideological position against the system of domination and the disrespect for human rights with which imperialism and the oligarchy confronts our country day after day. You should know that we are also firm in our convictions as with the beginning of the foundation of our organization that will achieve in this month now 10 years of constant social transformation and struggle. We know that the situation that we are experiencing since June 28 does not only concern the restitution of the Constitional president of the republic Jose Manuel Zelaya Rosales, but we are also at the front of a class struggle in Honduras and regarding this our organization is remaining firm, combative and revolutionary like the nettles we are named after—the stubborn ones.

As an organization we search for and battle daily to implement social changes aimed at repairing the economic, political, social and generational divide that remains submerged in the inequality of resources in our Honduras…we look to carry out a Democratic and National Peoples Constituent Assembly.

We thank you for your internationalist commitment, and embrace as we do our own struggle our having had the opportunity as an organization to strengthen our ties with your party and with members of it who have shown the revolutionary commitment and concrete actions of WORKERS WORLD.

We repeat to you that you have in Honduras and organization that accompanies you over the long haul in your process of struggle in the belly of the imperialist monster and that the only thing that we can be thankful for is that because of its cowardly, manipulative and inept maneuvers, we have succeeded in strengthening ties and our force to combat its own capitalist system in search of a more just society.

A combative, stubborn revolutionary salute, in solidarity with all the comrades of Workers World.

We shall stubbornly win.

PARTIDO COMUNISTA DO BRASIL (PCdoB)
São Paulo, 17 de novembro de 2009.

A Conferência Nacional do Partido do Mundo do Trabalho

Estimados camaradas,

COMMUNIST PARTY OF BRAZIL
O Comitê Central do Partido Comunista do Brasil (PCdoB)

São Paulo, November 17, 2009.

To the National Conference of the Workers World Party

Dear comrades, Due to organizational reasons, due to the 12th Congress of the Communist Party of Brazil between the 05th and 08th November, only now we send our congratulations on passing the National Conference of Workers World Party, held on 14 and 15 November 2009.

The National Conference of the Workers World Party and the 12th Congress of PCdoB have occurred in a context where the world is characterized by increasing instability, with renewal of threats and risks to peace. The new U.S. government of Barack Obama, with regard to peace, does not out of intentions yet, even though they already gave him, incredibly, a Nobel Peace Prize. Indeed, the aggression against Afghanistan and the occupation of Iraq remained and also were intensified. The announcement of the imminent failure of the Climate Summit in Copenhagen is a symptom that there are not fundamental changes and threats to the planet are intensified.

Similarly, there are growing threats to America. In recent weeks the agreement between Colombia and the United States was signed, expanding the siege to the progressive governments of our region. We, Brazilian people, in particular, view with great concern the increase of the U.S. presence at our Amazon borders, while restoring the Fourth Fleet threatens our sovereignty on the seas of the South Atlantic, especially the oil reserves in this region of the Brazilian coast.

We hope your conference has been full of successes and your organization play increasing role in organizing the resistance of the workers and the American people in defense of the common causes that unite our people and parties.

Fraternal greetings,

The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Brazil (PCdoB)

Freedom Road Socialist Organization Solidarity Statement to the Workers World Party's 50th Year Anniversary Conference

Comrades of Workers World Party,

Freedom Road Socialist Organization (FRSO) extends its warmest greetings of solidarity to the Workers World Party (WWP), and congratulates your party on fifty years of revolutionary struggle for social liberation in the United States. FRSO salutes the militants in WWP who have fought in defense of the working class class, for the liberation of the oppressed, and for peace, justice and socialism.

For many years now, our two organizations have worked together to advance the revolutionary movement in the United States. From the mass protests of the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, to the G20 demonstrations in Pittsburgh, to the formation of the Network to Fight for Economic Justice, we work together to advance the class and anti imperialist struggle. We value this partnership and we look forward to continuing to develop this unity on the ideological basis of Marxism-Leninism, on the one hand, and the political basis of the class struggle in the United States, on the other.

We are currently passing through the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. These are difficult times and revolutionaries are being put to a test. Millions of people are thrown out of their homes and losing their jobs; and we also see the thickening clouds of war and reaction, as U.S. imperialism continues its decline. At the same time, we see new, dynamic, and powerful advances in the people's struggle: in the United States, we see heroic fight backs in resisting evictions, layoffs, and cutbacks; and abroad we can see from the resistance in Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine, the Philippines, Colombia, and many more countries around the world, that the people of the world are waging successful struggle against imperialism.

Lenin once said that the proletariat, in its struggle for power, has no weapon other than organization. We hold this to be true, and as revolutionaries we recognize that we must struggle to strengthen the organizations of the working class and the oppressed, to enable us to carry forward the revolutionary movement in the United States to a new stage. We look forward to developing practical and ideological unity with Workers World Party to achieve this task.

Long live the people's struggle!
Long live socialism!

Freedom Road Socialist Organization
