CUBAN COMMUNIST PARTY Washington, November 9, 2007

Dear comrades:

On behalf of the Cuban Communist Party, we will like you to have a successful National Conference. Unfortunately, the increasing hostile policy of the U.S. government against Cuba prevent us to personally congratulate you on such important event.

Cuba faces today, as it has faced for more than 47 years, huge challenges and dangers. To the criminal and genocidal policy of blockade, we can add today the efforts of a fascist administration to destroy the Cuban Revolution, using all means, even the military force, and calling for violence inside of Cuba, if the appropriate conditions were given.

In the middle of all that, we can not forget the historical alliance of U. S. governments and the anti-Cuban terrorists, who is now stronger than ever, under the Bush administration, and which have caused the death of 3,478 Cuban citizens and 2,099 have been injured or disabled. The most abominable expression of this “marriage of terror” is the presence, as a free man, of Luis Posada Carriles in the U.S., a world terrorist treated as a special illegal immigrant, when hundreds of real immigrants are being hunted and put in jails, to be deported without any rights.

Today we still have a very important battle to fight to free the Cuban Five, who have been deprived of their freedom for more than 9 long years and subjected to cruel and unusual treatment that has violated their human rights, including the denial of visas to the wives of Gerardo and Rene who have not been permitted to enter the US to visit them. The Five must be liberated immediately.

In Cuba, despite of the economic blockade our people has advanced dramatically in building a new and better society and cooperating closely with our brothers and sisters in Venezuela, Bolivia, and helping many others in Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa and Asia to improve their lives.

In this regards, we appreciate your unconditional solidarity in our struggle for independence and justice in the face of the imperialist aggressions that our people have been resisting and defeating , heroically and successfully for over 47 years. Let’s fight together to build bridges of friendship, peace and cooperation between the peoples of the United States and Cuba.

Wishing you a fruitful and successful Conference, we reiterate our feelings of brotherhood with the Workers World Party and our conviction that together we will build a better world.

With a revolutionary and solidarity embrace,
Dagoberto Rodríguez Barrera
Chief of the Cuban Interests Section.

ILPS-SISON
MESSAGE TO THE WORKERS WORLD PARTY
ON THE OCCASION OF ITS NATIONAL CONFERENCE

By Prof. Jose Maria Sison
Chairperson, International Coordinating Committee
International League of Peoples' Struggle
17-18 November 2007

On behalf of the International League of Peoples' Struggle, I have the honor to convey warmest greetings of revolutionary solidarity to the leadership and membership of the Workers World Party on the occasion of its national conference on November 17-18, 2007.

We salute and congratulate you for your achievements in the struggle for the rights and interests of the working class and the people of various races and nationalities against US imperialism and all reactionary forces and currents. We hold the highest respect for your determination and efforts to carry forward the cause of socialism.

We are deeply pleased that the theme of your conference is: Fighting Racism and War for a Socialist Future. We appreciate that you are taking up a wide range of issues and that you are raising urgent demands in your plenary sessions and workshops.

US imperialism is wreaking havoc on the lives of the American people as well as of the entire people of the world. The US-instigated policies of neoliberal globalization and global war of terror (including state terrorism and wars of aggression) have inflicted the worst forms of exploitation and oppression on the people on an unprecedented scale.

We hope that through the conference you will be able to raise to a new and higher level the revolutionary consciousness and militancy of your party and the masses. You have ample opportunity to discuss and clarify the issues and demands as well as the tasks and methods for intensifying the people's resistance.

We are ever desirous of the growth in strength and advance of the anti-imperialist and democratic movement among the American people. This has a far-reaching consequence of great benefit to the working class and oppressed peoples of the world in their resistance to imperialism and all reaction.

Dear Comrades,

It is heartening to note that Workers' World party, engaged in a struggle right at the heartland of the chieftain of world imperialism, is going to hold a national conference on 17th and 18tth of this month to voice protest against the endless war precipitated by the kingpins of US imperialism and its cohorts in Iraq and other parts of the world as well as the appalling problems of racism, wrenching poverty and worst oppression in every walk of life tormenting the common people of US groaning under the yoke of ruthless capitalist-imperialist exploitation and to chalk out the programme of struggle against all these menaces and repression in the coming year. Your brave persistent struggle against US imperialism, the worst enemy of mankind of the time, has been a source of inspiration to all building up anti-imperialist movements round the globe. The spunk and grit with which you have stood against the war of aggression in Iraq by the Bush-Blair duo and took initiative to mobilize public opinion both inside and outside your country indicates your commitment to the honesty of purpose. We also welcome your views that guide to action has to be sought from the scientific philosophy of Marxism-Leninism, the invincible weapon in the hands of world proletariat in determining the course of revolutionary struggle for overthrow of imperialism-capitalism and bring about the cherished emancipation of the mankind from all sorts of exploitation of man by man. We are sure that in the days to come, you will play yet more significant a role in developing worldwide anti-imperialist militant peace movement and intensifying international working class struggle on the correct base political line of Marxism-Leninism.

Though we could not be physically present in your conference, we on behalf of the struggling people of India congratulate you for taking such a bold and timely initiative right on the soil of US disdaining the red eyes of the Pentagon rulers and wish you all success in your laudable effort.

With revolutionary greetings,
Comradely yours

Dear Comrades,

On the occasion of the National Conference of the Workers World Party, and on behalf of the All India Anti-imperialist Forum, I convey to you our warmest greetings. We are passing through a critical period in human history. On the one hand the capitalist oppression and exploitation of the working class have become more intense and the imperialist powers led by USA have perpetrated barbaric aggression on many countries of the world, and on the other hand people’s resentment towards capitalist system is also increasing. The people’s anti-capitalist struggle can emerge victorious only if it has a firm ideological base of Marxism-Leninism. To correctly comprehend the basic tenets of Marxism-Leninism and to apply them in the concrete situations of today is an urgent task of all revolutionary forces. Your National Conference very appropriately proposes to discuss the contributions of Marx and Lenin in the context of revolutionary struggle. The Workers World Party is conducting anti-imperialist struggle within the very citadel of imperialism. We salute their effort and covey our solidarity with your struggle.

UNION OF AFRICAN WORKERS- SENEGAL-(RTA-S)
Party Organization Committee (RTA-S/Cop)

Workers World Party National Conference
Nov.17-18 2007

MESSAGE TO THE PARTICIPANTS :

Comarades and Friends,

Allow us, first to thank you for inviting us to participate in your National Conference of assessment and perspectives in order to improve the revolutionary work of your party. Needless to say that we are honored and proud; and your invitation is an encouragement to persevere. It’s also important to use this occasion to acknowledge your internationalism that you have demonstrated (and continue to demonstrate) so many times toward us through our comrade Fallou Guèye; from banners to signs, to printing leaflets, to invitation to your forums, to translating our party’s articles in Workers World paper, to involvement in the struggle against the War in Iraq and Afghanistan and the fight against national oppression of African-americans, other minorities and the immigrants.

Your National Conference is taking place in a context of the announcement by A. Wade, President of Senegal, three weeks ago, of a draft law to reduce the salaries of government workers, of generalized discontent, of difficulties for the workers to make ends meet and of rampant famine among the peasantry. This also follows from the promise of the international donors to grant credits to the Wade regime, after the Club of Paris very sharply warned with the government about its archaic and loose managing of public monies..

Unions leaders, NGO‘s leaders and popular sectors are developing resistance to that new neo-liberal offensive; and political parties are pursuing their goals to hold a National Conference of all concerned sectors in oder to find a way out for the country’s crisis.

Comrades participants

The Workers World National Conference is also taking place in a context of imperialism showing each day how barbaric and aggressive are its domination against peoples and nations around the globe, and of workers within imperialist countries.

American imperialism is a tangible example in Iraq, in Afghanistan et everywhere where their interests are. Thus, today there are no forces that can stop U.S. imperialism from invading, occupying other territories. All alibis are used, all lies are served to justify what is unjustified.

African nations, like any oppressed nations by imperialism are, more than ever disarmed, politically and morally.

In this context, our country, Senegal, is directly and economically dominated by French imperialism, still. But American imperialism is doing its best to find ways and means to establish a military base somewhere in West Africa for its own interests. We feel happy to have you as revolutionary anti-imperialist forces in the belly of the beast to unite our views to develop internationalist solidarity in our fight for national liberation, crucial for the social liberation of workers of our country.

Permit me, dear comrades and participants to give you an overview of the destruction of economy by French imperialism :

The politics of privatization implemented since 1980 by the institutions of Bretton Woods (IMF, World Bank and WTO) have caused almost all of our public and joint-private-public companies to fall into the shopping carts of the French trans-national monopolies.

Here are some examples:

The Senegalese water company SONEES has been privatized and sold to the French group Bouygues.
The telephone company SONATEL despite its profit of 76,5 billions in 2003-2004 has been sold to France Telecom.
The cement company sold to the French group Vicat.
The oil company to Advens another French group.
The Senegalese Bank of Development is liquidated and replaced by French commercial banks:
SGBS, BICIS, Credit Lyonnais, etc.
Savings of Senegalese too because according to a Senegalese expert in finances, 2500 billions per year are in deposited in Switzerland.
The Senegalese lottery company la LONASE with a profit of 100millions/day has been sold to a French group when in France and in the U.S. that business belongs to the public sector.
There are military bases in Senegal, French mainly, with a mission not to protect the country but to protect their interests against any political changes, internally or externally, cases in Congo, Gabon, Centrafrique, Cote d’Ivoire etc.
This shows that our development is impossible in this situation of imperialist domination. Our productive forces are destroyed in Senegal and in the continent of Africa. African countries are all facing the same situation of oppression and national liberation movement to end economic dependency.
This shows how the destruction of our economy is systematic. This shows how France get richer by exploiting African countries. This is evidence of how imperialist countries are responsible for our poverty; and this with the help of African governments that participate by stealing the public funds to hide it in foreign bank accounts in France, Switzerland and the U.S.

Comrades

Our struggle against French and U.S. imperialism is the same struggle that your organization has been developing against your own government and for the self-determination of African-american peoples up to their separation. Our people and your people have the same enemy.

It is then natural that we put our hands together, that we reinforce our collaboration and our internationalist support, in a concrete way with the understanding that «a nation that oppresses another nation cannot be free.»

In that regard we salute the popularization of the struggle of masses in our country done by Workers World by publishing our communique and political declarations.

Comrades,

We hope this National Conference will help to find answers for crucial questions such as:

How can we improve the anti-imperialist axis put into action by our militant cooperation.?

How can we help to better popularize the anti-imperialsit struggle of oppressed and exploited peoples by U.S. imperialism in our respective countries?

How can we improve the internationalist support between our two organizations to make it more concrete, more militant?

In the hope that this National Conference will bring answers to those questions, we wish you a successful conference.

Long live Workers World!
Long live RTAS-Union of African Workers-Senegal.!
Long live the INTERNATIONALIST Solidarity!
Forward to the National LIBERATION of oppressed peoples!

DANISH COMMUNIST PARTY

Message to the National Conference of the Workers World Party
Copenhagen, October 26th 2007

Dear comrades,
The Danish Communist Party conveys its warmest and most fraternal greeting to the National Conference of the Workers World Party which is taking place in a extremely critical moment for the peoples of the world. We wish your success in the proceeding of the Conference and in your struggle against war, imperialist aggression, racism, poverty and oppression. We hail the brave struggle you are waging in the very heart of world imperialism and admire the consequent anti-imperialist positions which you have continuously taken when the reactionary and criminal US leading circles have committed all types of war crimes and aggression against sovereign countries and peoples all over the world.

Comrades,
The Danish Communist Party was founded only a year ago as a result of the unification of various communist forces. Although we are still a small Party, during the last year we have taken a number of important initiatives in order to put the Party in the offensive with its own personality as well as to find ways to unite and form alliances with other political and social forces who are now taking the road of struggle against the reactionary government and its neo-liberal and imperialist line.

During the last one and a half year, there has been an upsurge in the class struggle of broad sections of the Danish working people, especially within the public sector. This struggle has taken various forms, from simple protests to strikes and demonstrations. In fact, only a few weeks ago we witnessed the biggest workers' demonstrations for more than two decades.

There is a growing conscience among broad sections of the Danish people that the "welfare system", i.e. their social, democratic and trade union rights, is seriously threatened by the neo-liberal and pro-EU policy of the government, and that it is necessary to take the road of class struggle in order to defend these rights. It is of special importance that large sections of the trade union movements as well as young people are active in this struggle which has only started and which next year, when the workers' collective agreements have to be renegotiated, may result in even bigger strikes and demonstrations.

Comrades,
We are living in a dangerous world. The present structural crisis of Capitalism has forced the imperialist powers with United States at the head, to take aggressive, military steps against sovereign countries and peoples. Sadly enough, Denmark which for almost 150 years was not engaged in any aggressive war, is now participating in several of the imperialist wars and occupations, in Iraq, in Afghanistan and in ex-Yugoslavia. Our small army has been completely changed from an army for national defence to an aggressive intervention forces under the command of NATO and the big imperialist powers. It goes without saying that our Party is a strong opponent of this dangerous policy and that we are calling for solidarity with all the peoples and countries that in one or the other way are suffering and resisting imperialist aggression, from socialist Cuba, revolutionary Venezuela and Bolivia in Latin America to the resistance in Iraq, Lebanon, Afghanistan and Palestine, among many others.

In the actual complex and interrelated world, is more important than ever before that the progressive and revolutionary parties practice an active and consequent international solidarity and unite in the struggle against our common enemies, world imperialism with US imperialism at the head which represents a still greater threat to humanity and the survival of life on Earth.

Long live international solidarity!

CORRIENTE ROJA--RED CURRENT--Spanish state

Dear comrades

Corriente Roja (Red Current), a political organization in the Spanish state, greets your national conference with the internationalist fraternity that we feel for you who are standing on the same side of the barricades in the anti-capitalist and anti-imperialist struggle, with the knowledge that socialism is the only possible and real alternative to barbarism.

These are very hard times for the workers and the peoples all over the world, and we feel in our bodies and souls that the war that the ruling classes of the allied imperialist powers of the United States and the European Union against Iraq, Palestine, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Cuba, Venezuela, Colombia and so many other peoples, is the same struggle they have unleashed against the working class in our own imperialist countries.

It is time that, even if the conditions are extremely difficult, that we make use of all our intelligence, our organizational capacity and our enthusiasm, to call into effect the necessary force capable of overthrowing the barbarism and death they announce and to which the capitalist machinery is leading us.

The monumental task for communists is double:
" to achieve, through the expansion of the organization and awareness developed through concrete struggles, showing to the immense majority that the slogan, "Socialism or Death" is a concrete alternative.
" to build a new internationalism that articulates and coordinates the struggles of the working class and the peoples against imperialist wars and against exploitation in each country. The slogan: "Workers of all lands, unite!" signals our immediate task.
Comrades of Workers World Party: your struggle and your role are transcendental in this task. The communists of the USA have the most difficult work and at the same time the most decisive in the common struggle of the workers and peoples of the entire world.

Together with the resistance in Iraq, Cuba, Venezuela and Colombia, your struggle is the focus of the hopes of the world.
Socialism or death!
We will win!

UNION of the GALICIAN PEOPLE (UPG)
To the comrades of the Workers World Party:

Galicia, Nov. 9, 2007

Dear Comrades:

In the name of the Central Committee of the Union of the Galician People (UPG) I would like to transmit a warm greeting to you, in the expectation that your National Conference will be a great success.

We are all aware of how difficult it is today for the people to carry out their struggle for sovereignty and for socialism, and we know that in the heart of the empire the conditions in which this struggle develops has even more complex characteristics.

Comrades of the Workers World Party we would like you to know that in the UPG, a patriotic communist party that has existed and struggled for socialism for 43 years starting from the national reality of Galiza, you have a fraternal party.

We are sure that the debates of these two days of National Conference and their conclusions will be effective instruments to advance the struggle for socialism in the United States.

Receive a patriotic communist greeting.

BASQUE UNION LAB
To the NATIONAL CONFERENCE of the Workers World Party

Compañeras y compañeros,

Long live the working class

We send a fraternal greeting of solidarity, in the name of all the men and women who are carrying out the union project of the L.A.B., to the National Conference and to all the activists of WWP who are struggling against social injustices in your country. We are a socially and politically active union struggling on both a national and a class basis, that combines in its activities the defense of the individual rights of the workers, with the struggle for the national and social liberation of Euskal Herria (Basque Country), our Nation.

The evolution of neoliberal tendencies in the process of economic globalization under the direction of the large transnational companies is causing great disarray in the economic and social developments worldwide; it is increasing inequalities and favoring the creation of enormous areas of exploitation and poverty.

In this evolution, neoliberalism has been eliminating the power of states' economic and social intervention and relegating to these states the role of the state apparatus--the courts, the police, security, defense etc.--while claiming they are removing from the public authority all power over economic, social and labor questions, while trying to convince everyone that it is only the dictatorship of the market that regulates the economy and social benefits. We thus stand before the dictatorship of the market and its multinational monopolies above society in general, that is to say, we understand that neoliberalism has become the political-economic equivalent of fascism in the 21st century.

And what is the answer from the unions and social organizations? It is not easy to carry out union work in the global context we are living in today. Neoliberal globalization is ideologically contaminating political, social, and union areas and it is breaking the back of labor relations, reducing the rights of the working-class and increasing the power of the industrialists; it is extending consumerist values and diminishing solidarity. All this makes it enormously difficult to develop a union project based on class.

In this class combat, there is a part of the union movement that has ideologically accepted defeat, introducing it into a union movement that supports the system, without ideology, taking the part of management ......, becoming maquilladores of the capitalist economic-political system in exchange for privileges and institutional recognition.

But more important than the difficulties are the determination, the work, the activism; there is and there will be a permanent struggle against injustice and for our rights as a class. We are convinced of the potential of combative trade unionism in the 21st century to lead a social and ideological rebellion against the economic dictatorship that has brought about this international order.

But for this, unionism needs to change its work methods and it needs especially an ideological renewal in relation to its role in this social and political context.

It is necessary to work through a social and political sindicalism that is closely connected to the social movements, tied to the reality of the centers of production but with reflections and an ideology that helps the working class to acquire a consciousness so as to become the subject to bring about political and social change. We must put into action the words that one day Comandante Fidel Castro pronounced:
Ideas are the essential weapon of humanity for its own salvation.

In the context of this sindicalist model, we consider the struggle for the sovereignty of peoples as part of a struggle for political and social change. The struggle for sovereignty and respect of the political rights of the peoples, in addition to being legitimate, has a positive component for the evolution of political and social changes.

The culturally independent political communities, need the recognition of their political right to exert a sovereignty that allows their economic, social and cultural development, and to prevent their societies from being pillaged or undermined by a market that recognizes neither peoples nor states.

From a class-based union movement, we must fight with firmness the economic policies that imperialism develops and that are allied with imperialism. The criminal permanent economic blockade the U.S. government imposes against the Cuban people, the Free Trade Accord for the Americas, Plan Colombia, the different attempts to overthrow the Bolivarian government of Hugo Chavez in Venezuela, the massacres and occupations of other people's territories by the force of arms are some of the interventions that show the development of the imperialist strategy of the Yankee government, a regime that refuses to stop taking control by blood and fire all those natural resources that are the patrimony of humanity.

I want to take advantage of this opportunity briefly to demand your attention regarding the conflict we are experiencing in the Basque Country, a Country divided by two states, which refuse to recognize this people's legitimate right to decide its future in freedom. Surely for you, the news about the Basque Country will be related to violence events. But behind that reality there exists a conflict of undeniable political character, a conflict based on the negation of the Basque people's democratic rights.

You should know that this is a conflict that has seen thousand of victims tortured and imprisoned. In a country of 3 million inhabitants in the heart of Europe, there are more than 600 political prisoners, men and women, and more than 2,000 people exiled--the numbers only indicate the breadth of the political conflict.

Therefore, I want to call your attention to a conflict that demands spaces and mechanisms of definitive and democratic resolution. If peace is to be built on the basis of democracy and justice, to our understanding this means letting the peoples speak and decide, that is the price of a just peace and guarantees stability between the peoples themselves, that is what is considered just in the Basque Country and by other peoples who struggle for their national rights.

Compañeros and compañeras, I am convinced that you will leave this Conference still stronger if it fits in our class convictions, in the reaffirmation of your militant commitment to the working-class and the struggle against social injustice and neoliberalism.

I want to finish to my greeting, reminding all the fighters for freedom who have remained on the path of struggle and in addition to all the workers who are victims of labor insecurity.

LONG LIVE THE WORKING-CLASS

LONG LIVE INTERNACIONAL SOLIDARITY

WORKERS PARTY OF BELGIUM

Brussels, 5 November 2007

From Workers' Party of Belgium
To Workers World Party

Dear Comrades,

We are in full solidarity with the Workers World Party National Conference, November 17-18 2007, NYC. It is a timely initiative to assemble activists to present and discuss experiences on the struggle against endless war, as well as racism, poverty and oppression in the U.S., and to make plans for the next year of struggle.

You are right to claim (1) that activists must be connected to the struggle of real people, and that the need for solidarity is more crucial than ever, (2) that true and lasting equality, peace, social and economic justice, dignity and freedom are incompatible with capitalism and imperialism.

In every country of the world, the building of a Leninist party, loyal to the road mapped out by the October Revolution, remains a primary task. There is but one answer to the centralisation of capital, to the dictatorship of the monopolies, imperialism and their lackeys: the organized force of the working class movement, working hand in hand with the oppressed peoples and the socialist countries. It is impossible to put an end to oppression and war if the communist and workers' parties are busy taking the edge off capitalism.

Neither an electoral apparatus nor parliamentary factions respond to the need to develop a strategy and tactics capable of overcoming the power of centralized capital, imperialism and its allied reactionary forces.

Neither is it with the classical "bourgeois" concept of the party that the masses can be made to comprehend what capitalism constitutes, with its economic laws, its exploitation and oppression, its warmongering, its past, present and future.

Nor is it through disparate groups and networks that it will be possible to win the complex fight against the dictatorship of the transnational corporations, against the imperialist State apparatus, against their lackeys in the countries that are under imperialist occupation, against their lackeys in the countries that are under imperialist domination of a neo-colonial type, and against organisms like NATO.

Never will coordinations, networks or factions without a clear conviction be able to replace working class parties based on democratic centralism, with its principles of unity of will and action, of majority and minority, of practical decisions committing all and everyone.

With the current wave of anticommunism and faced with the terrible aggressiveness of monopoly capitalism of the US, the European Union and their allies, the issue of having a mass line to win over the working class and its allies, the issue of permanent communist work among the masses becomes an issue of life and death for today's Communist and Workers' Parties. It is about work in the factories and the trade unions, in the popular neighbourhoods, among the progressive youth and among women, among the small and middle peasants in countries where they exist, in the movements for the defence of democracy, for peace and national liberation. It is also about the presence in movements for the protection of the environment and the defence of the natural resources, which are gravely threatened by the anarchistic and destructive development of capitalism.

In this work, more flexibility, more openness and more tactical sense are needed in the current situation. These serve to better react to the opportunities that present themselves, to better arouse, organize and mobilize, briefly, to better accomplish the communist tasks.

The October Revolution proved that while national in its form, in its content, the revolution is always international, forming part of the world movement for the emancipation of the working class. Proletarian internationalism is a fundamental element that distinguishes the communist and workers' parties from all others. In the national struggles of the workers, the communists set forth and promote their interests that are independent of nationality and shared by the proletariat of the whole world. Engels wrote: "The proletarian emancipation cannot but be an international fact; if you attempt to make it a purely [national] fact, you are rendering it impossible."

May the idea and the cause of the great October Revolution live through the decades to come!
Workers of the world, unite!

ANTI-IMPERIALIST CAMP--ITALY, AUSTRIA

Dear comrades,

The Anti-imperialist Camp is conveying is warm revolutionary greetings to the national conference of the World Workers Party scheduled for November 17-18. As you know we have been commonly involved in the support of the anti-imperialist movements throughout the world.

Now it seems as if the Bush regime, caught in severe troubles because of is aggressive interventions in the Middle East and especially in Iraq, Lebanon and Palestine, is switching up another gear in its pre-emptive war. To solve the problems of their global rule they want to attack Iran.

More than any battle since 1991 this forthcoming one will decide upon the future of the world. If Iran is able to repeal the attack, to stand against it and to maintain a government which refuses to be a puppet, then the imperial drive of the US supported by its European allies, will suffer a decisive setback. Such a success would immediately strengthen all the anti-imperialist forces including the popular ones.

We are sure that as with Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, Palestine, Lebanon, Venezuela, Cuba and Iraq we will once again co-operation in supporting this struggle.

At the same time we believe that we have to work at the "home front" in order to organise the popular discontent against liberalism which has been articulating itself through the past decade in many Western countries. This is first of all a political challenge as we need to build a new antagonist platform against the imperialist oligarchy and for a new community which cannot be any more some "purified" variant of historic socialism or communism. Here we still stand at the beginning though the need is pressing given the fact that reactionary forces are competing with us as they want to misuse the new poor for their aims. We will find possibilities in the future to start a debate also on this matter.

With the most fraternal greetings
Willi Langthaler

PARTY OF LIBERATION -- ARGENTINA

Dear comrades of Workers World Party,

Receive in the name of the Party of Liberation (PL) of Argentina warm greetings for your national conference of Nov. 17 and 18 with our party's wishes that this conference be a total success.

This is not only in your interest but also in our own, in the sense that the better the organization and political activism of Marxist-Leninists in the United States and the other imperialist countries, the more it helps and fortifies the struggles of the peoples of the Third World, as is Argentina's case.

We have met Workers World Party in the international communist seminars in Brussels and have become personally acquainted with some of your militants and leaders, seeing a commonality of ideals for example in the world-wide struggle against Bush's imperialist war, among other points.

For that reason we reiterate our greetings to your conference and send to all of you a strong revolutionary, communist greeting.

Sergio Ortiz
Secretary General of the Party of Liberation of Argentina.

FDIM-SAO PAOLO, BRAZIL

To the members and leaders of Workers World Party.

It is with immense satisfaction that the International Democratic Federation of Women - FDIM - greets Workers World Party at the time it is holding this conference.

The FDIM, which was proud to have received at its XIVth Congress held in Caracas, Venezuela, in April of 2007, the biggest delegation of North American women in the history of our organization, deeply experienced the combativity of the women and the people of the U.S. and their sisterly relations with the struggles of the people of the entire world.

We, women from more than 210 women's organizations that take actioins to promote peace, equality of rights and social justice, congratulate our North American sisters and brothers in their struggle for the withdrawal of U.S. occupation troops from Iraq, for the sovereignty and self-determination of the peoples, for the guarantee of civil rights for immigrants.

We live at a moment when Bush's warmongering policies are receiving the most vehement repudiation from all the corners of the planet. The U.S. attempt to install am anti-missile system on the territory of Poland and the Czech Republic is not only a threat to the Russian nation, but it reignites the arms race and it places world peace in danger. The Bush government's politics of domination shall not pass!

Humanity wants peace, economic development with justice and solidarity among the peoples.

The experience of the peoples of our continent, electing presidents committed to democracy, sovereignty and cooperation among nations--as Lula in Brazil, Rafael Correa in Ecuador, Tabaré Vasquez in Uruguay, Evo Morales in Bolivia, Daniel Ortega in Nicaragua, Cristina Kirchner in Argentina and Michele Bachelet in Chile, indicate the advances on our continent. The socialist experience of Cuba with Fidel and the construction of socialism in Venezuela under the command of President Hugo Chavez, can only fortify in us the certainty that Latin Americans and North Americans, will have to unite an America with prosperity and equality for all.

LONG LIVE THE STRUGGLE OF ALL THE PEOPLES!
LONG LIVE WORKERS WORLD PARTY!

November 2007.
MARCIA CAMPOS - President of the FDIM

São Paulo, 13 of November 2007

To the National Conference of Workers World Party

Dear Comrades

On behalf of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Brazil (PCdoB), we greet the National Conference of Workers World Party as you hold it on the upcoming 17-18 of November. We expect that the conference will result in the strengthening of your Party in the search for developing the struggle of the North American people for its rights and against the imperialist policies of your government.

Finally in the coming year the presidency of George W. Bush will come to an end. Under his command, in last the seven years, the U.S.A. has carried out an enormous offensive against the peoples of the world, with policies leading to wars, aggressions and intimidations against the world's peoples, with the most important examples being U.S. aggression against Afghanistan and Iraq, that has also caused much sufferings and losses to the North American people.

Latin America is experiencing a special moment for progressive and revolutionary forces. In the last period a cycle of progressive governments, that are attempting to bring about economic development and national sovereignty, social development and an increase of democracy in the region. The end of the unhappy neoliberal cycle, the previous period, now allows the Latin American peoples to play a new role in the world, with their progressive positions strengthened, so they can now defend peace, development, and multipolarity and struggle against imperialism.

In Brazil, our Party is part of the base of support for the government of Luis Inácio Lula Da Silva. In this year, the second mandate of President Lula began. With strong support of the popular masses, this government is trying to advance a broad program of public and private projects aimed at speeding up the economic growth and thereby rebuilding our economic infrastructure and raise the general welfare of the Brazilian people.

The PCdoB is experience an important moment, during which there has been a broad growth of the party rank and file membership. In the next period it will try to advance especially in what we call three great lines of accumulation: to increase its presence in the social movements and among the proletariat; to participate actively in the struggle over ideas to advance in the development of Marxism-Leninism according to Brazilian reality; and to extend the institutional presence of the Communists in Parliament and in government circles.

At this moment as Workers World Party is holding its National Conference, we reiterate our friendship with your party, and we exprect that this event will bring about the ideological strengthening of your organization leading to new advances in the struggles of the North American people.

Fraternal greetings,
Jose Reinaldo Carvalho
Secretary of International Relations, PCdoB

POLE OF COMMUNIST RENAISSANCE, FRANCE Dear comrades, The Pole of Communist Renaissance in France (PRCF) sends to Workers World Party its wishes of fraternal solidarity at the time--Nov. 17-18--you are holding your conference in New York.

At a time when [French President] Sarkozy has begun to turn French foreign policy toward putting our country in U.S. imperialism's orbit, we feel, more than ever before, close to the progressive militants of the United States in their combat to stop U.S. aggression against Iraq and the threats weighing against Iran.

Poverty, racism, wars and the attacks against the rights of the workers are the direct consequences of the crimes of the capitalist regimes under which we live and under which we carry out a common struggle.

Yes, your fight is ours!

We wish you every success with the work of your national conference.

MESSAGE OF SOLIDARITY TO THE WORKERS WORLD PARTY NATIONAL CONFERENCE NOV 17-18TH

The party Red, Norway, conveys her warmest greetings to the National Conference of the Workers World Party, held in NYC November 17-18.

We appreciate very much the enduring antiimperialist work done by the WWP and her members. It is of great importance for the international, antiimperialist solidarity work that a party like yours is playing that role in the midst of the most aggressive power in the world today. Besides we also are aware of your solid antiracist work in the States, against all suppression and discriminations.

This Conference comes in a very critical time also for the forces we are fighting. We are wishing you further succeesses in your struggle to have U.S. troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan. This also is important for us here in Norway, now in the middle of an upheavel of our struggle to have Norwegian troops out of Afghanistan.

Oslo, November 16th 2007

In solidarity

COMMUNIST MAZDOOR KISSAN PARTY (CMKP-PAKISTAN)

Subject: Message of Solidarity from CMKP
Comrades of the Workers World Party.
Revolutionary regards from the Communist Workers and Peasants Party Pakistan on the event of your national conference on international solidarity and struggle for socialism.

We are in the midst of a struggle for democracy against a U.S.-backed military dictator. In this context the solidarity of our two fraternal organizations is of vital importance. Any protest in the U.S. against the government's policy of supporting Musharraf is invaluable to our movement given the fierce repression inside Pakistan.

We are outraged by the imposition of an "emergency" in Pakistan. Let us begin by calling a spade, a spade. The manner in which this emergency was announced by the Chief of Army Staff, the manner in which all democratic opposition leaders and activists were rounded up, the manner in which there was a complete black-out of news from non-official sources, the fact that the constitution was abrogated, the Supreme Court was stormed by the army and the Chief Justice was dismissed, all of this points to the simple conclusion that this is not a mere "emergency" but Martial Law.

The irony is that this martial law has been promulgated by General Musharraf in the backdrop of a chaotic situation that General Musharraf has himself created. The current military authorities are responsible for bringing Pakistan to the brink of arguably the worst national crisis in the history of our country. The only solution to this crisis is that the current martial law authorities resign from all offices and hand over power to the elected representatives of the people. Without democracy Pakistan has no future.

We too know how to quote, and not misquote, Abraham Lincoln. It is self-evident that Abraham Lincoln, elected by the people, stood first and foremost for a government by the people, for the people, and of the people. The current martial law authorities stand for a regime by the military, for the military, and of the military. They shame the great legacy of Lincoln by taking his name to justify their attempt to deny the people their power.

The attempt by martial law authorities to peddle this draconian measure to the West as a necessary step in order to wage the so-called 'war on terror' is so utterly preposterous that it strikes us as nothing other than a supreme insult to the intelligence of the Pakistani people. What do people like Atizaz Ahsen, Asma Jehangir, I.A. Rahman, Iqbal Haider, and others, who have been arrested or placed under house arrest have in common with religious fundamentalism? The fact is that this martial law is aimed principally, in fact solely, at the lawyers movement and the media.

It is no secret that the lawyers movement and the media are celebrated by the people of Pakistan as heroes because they are playing the principle role of a democratic opposition in the country. This martial law has been promulgated not as a result of religious extremism but in order to muzzle, bully, and intimidate the growing democratic movement.

Previous martial law authorities in Pakistan, all puffed up with arrogance and conceit, have fooled themselves into believing their own lies. They believe that the people of Pakistan can be subjugated into insignificance. They forget that the brave people of Pakistan never tired, never rested, never gave up hope, until the military dictatorship of Ayub, Yahya, and Zia were defeated.

Just as the students and lawyers of Pakistan wrote a glorious history of struggle for democracy in the past, often with their lives and their blood, so our demonstration of students and lawyers today portends of still greater things to come.

We make a solemn pledge that we will struggle till the last drop of blood, till our last breath, for a Pakistan in which we can breathe an air that is free of all forms of oppression and exploitation.

We make a solemn pledge to the people of Pakistan, who have suffered inhumanely under the yoke of tin pot military dictators supported by imperial powers, that we will fight for their democratic rights, for their dignity, and for their humanity.

We make a solemn pledge that we will not rest until the people of Pakistan are free. Until the values of democracy and socialism are emblazoned across the land of the Indus river, from the Himalayas to the Arabian sea.

PEASANT ASSOCIATION OF THE VALLEY OF RÍO CIMITARRA (ACVC) AND THE RURAL PRESS AGENCY--COLOMBIA

Dear comrades of Workers World Party and all those taking part in your conference:

We wish the most positive results for you at your National Conference, a meeting with great importance, especially that it takes place in the United States. You and we struggle in different societies but with a same objective: peace with social justice. The unity of the working people is the means to make this ancient aspiration of humanity a reality.

We are a peasant association in the region of Magdalena Medio in Colombia. On Sept. 29, four of our leaders were accused of rebellion and arrested by the narco-paramilitary government of President Alvaro Uribe Vélez. There is a warrant for the arrest of 14 more members of our association. Now we begin the campaign to win political freedom of our people held in custody and the many other prisoners in the country. Unions, peasant organizations and political parties of opposition, among others, face the legal and illegal persecution by the state and the bosses, gangsters and multinational corporations, interested in transferring the goods from the people into private hands.

We invite you to support our campaign and to publicize within the U.S.A. the extreme repression that exists in Colombia.

Our web page can be consulted for more information.

A Great Bolivarian embrace,

PALESTINIAN AMERICAN CONGRESS

Brothers and Sisters, Comrades,

I salute you from the bottom of my heart. Unfortunately, I couldn’t be there with you, but I am there in spirit.

As a Palestinian, I would like to extend my solidarity and appreciation for what you are doing for our just cause. The imperialists are losing ground. They are so desperate they are trying to create more Karzai’s in the middle east. From Iraq to Lebanon to Palestine. It did not work out in Afghanistan and it will not work out in the rest of the Arab world. Let’s unite workers, peasants, students and all revolutionaries of the world. Let’s bring this beast to its knees.

Long Live Workers World Party.

Long Live the Iraqis, Lebanese, Palestinians and all the struggling peoples of the Middle East.

The people united will never be defeated.
Ahmed Kawash, Palestinian American Congress, Boston Chapter
